Generally, we meet twice a month. Our first meeting of the month is a business/show & tell meeting. Our second meeting varies, offering anything from shooting to educational opportunities. Meeting and event information is posted in the Calendar.
The first meeting of the month we gather at the Mitchell Community College Executive Training Center, 701 West Front Street, Statesville. The second meeting is usually an outing so location varies.
Our dues are $20 per year. They may be paid by check or cash at a meeting, or through Venmo @Iredell-Photo-Club.
We are involved with a number of exhibitions throughout the year, most notably the Iredell Arts Council gallery, and the Statesville Art Crawls in the spring and fall.
If you show your prints at our exhibitions, you may post a price, or show as NSF (not for sale).
Don’t worry, we will be happy to help you learn. We welcome people of all skill levels and camera makes.
While most members have a camera, it is not required. Some members do smartphone photography too. And some meetings are geared around post-processing, which is only about the images, not the camera.
We have a full slate of officers. Elections for all positions occur yearly. Members are encouraged to participate as officers.
We don't make commercial referrals. Our focus is on photography as an art, and helping our members advance their skills.
